Rolling grasslands, undulating hills and animals, lots of big animals – adorn the Masai Mara National Reserve Map.
Located in the southwestern part of Kenya, the Masai Mara National Reserve forms part of the greater eco-system that encompasses the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The Masai Mara (also spelled Maasai Mara) is one of the best known and most visited reserves in Africa.
“The Mara” consists of open savannah, rolling grasslands and undulating hills. July to September sees the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle coming from the plains of the Serengeti. Driven by dry conditions in the Serengeti and led by the lightning and thunder to the north, huge herds of mammals cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Mara's grasslands.
Xplorer Maps co-owner and illustrator Chris Robitaille has lived in the Mara for almost 25 years and we are very excited and extremely proud to announce the new release of our latest unique, original and entirely hand-crafted illustrated maps of destinations around the world.
The Masai Mara map is approximately 24" wide x 18" tall and is printed with eco-friendly inks on enhanced matte paper. This is an Epson Ultra Premium Presentation matte finish 10.3 ml paper that displays exceptionally well.
