Original hand-drawn pen and ink/watercolor story map of Acadia National Park off the coast of Maine.
The map features a variety of stunning natural features and historical sites such as Cadillac Mountain (the highest point on the eastern seaboard of the United States), Jordan Pond Gatehouse located in the glacier-carved landscape surrounding Jordan Pond, as well as Park Loop Road (a 27-mile long road leading adventurers to destinations like Sand Beach, tucked away in the jagged, granite east coast of Acadia as well as the awe-inspiring rocks as Otter Cliff and finally, Thunder Hole where ocean waves crash into the inlet creating an unbelievable thundering boom).
Along with impressive landmarks, the park features an array of quintessential flora and fauna to the coastal and mountainous aspects of Maine including the Harbor Seal, Humpback and Finback Whales, the Common Loon, White-tailed Deer, Red Fox and Goldenrod and Blue Aster wildflowers.
Not only does the map celebrate the landscape, plants, and wildlife, but recreational opportunities include hiking, touring the many lighthouses along the coast, and visiting Harbor Bay to learn about the coastal lifestyle and lobster fishing to the north of the park.
The lithograph print by Chris Robitaille of Xplorer Maps is 18’’ wide and 24” tall.

Montana's Flathead Lake larch Frame - 10%of the larch logs originally intended as railroad ties for the Great Northern Railroad sunk to the bottom of Flathead Lake, MT. These over 100-year-old logs have been dive-located, dredged, dried, cured, planed, scraped, sawn, sanded, and shaped into reclaimed heritage wood frames exclusively for Xplorer Maps.
Hand-Scraped Montana Pine - Montana forest-harvested pine frame. For that rustic look, each frame is hand-scraped.
All frames are equipped with conservation clear glass, which is guaranteed to block 99% of ultraviolet rays. Upgrade to Museum glass, which ensures 99% UV protection but also provides ZERO GLARE - this is the quality glass you would find in gallery settings.
