The Xplorer's Review: Retail Newsletter Q2 2023

Highlights of Q2

Greetings, Xplorers!

We hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits and filled with a sense of adventure. As we bid farewell to another exciting quarter, we want to share some of the remarkable moments that made Q2 truly special for Xplorer Maps.

Co-Founders in Africa

Brothers Greg and Chris Robitaille are having their annual meeting of the minds! This time around, in Kenya. These two Xplorers are always looking for innovations in how our maps are created and, of course, which map comes next! Initial meetings for possible collaborative partnerships with the Masai Mara Conservancies and the Kenya Wildlife Service are taking place this month, and the ideas being thrown around are very, very interesting. Check out these cool photos of their recent safari in the Mara.

Map Release

We proudly unveiled two stunning additions to our collection during the second quarter. Our co-founder and artist, Chris Robitaille, brought the captivating landscapes and culture of Utah and Minnesota to life, showcasing their unique beauty and captivating spirit. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast or a history buff, these maps are sure to inspire your wanderlust.

Chris & Becca's Costa Rican Adventure

Xplorer Maps co-founder and artist Chris Robitaille, along with his daughter Becca, embarked on an amazing research trip to Pacuare Reserve on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. They immersed themselves in the vibrant culture, explored, and soaked up the natural wonders that will soon grace our future artwork. Stay tuned for our upcoming collaborative map with Ecology Project International, to be released the first week of November.

New Intern

Mid-June marked an exciting milestone for our team as we welcomed Isabella, our talented new intern. Currently a 3rd-grade teacher at Paxson Elementary here in Missoula, Isabella is joining us for two months, helping our Team with a variety of different projects. We are excited to have our team adding new perspectives and talents as our business grows!

Earth Day with EPI

We joined forces with Ecology Project International to celebrate Earth Day in style. Together, we worked toward removing invasive grass in the Native Grasslands along the Clark Fork River in downtown Missoula, Montana. We so enjoy getting out in our community and working toward a common good!

State Features: Xplore with Us!

Each month we are highlighting states that hold a special place in your heart! Every state has its own unique story, and that’s why we love them! Follow along on social media and read our monthly blogs for inspiration for your next trip!

The artistic journey through Costa Rica continues. To give you a sneak peek of our creative process, we've included a work-in-progress image in this newsletter. We invite you to envision the lush rainforests, vibrant wildlife, incredible biodiversity, and stunning landscapes that will grace our Costa Rica map.

New Product: Stone "Collage" Coasters

Just a wee bit later than anticipated, but we now have available these absolutely gorgeous and high-end natural stone coasters in 10+ map designs. The end result is a beautifully printed, full-color stone coaster that, as a set of 4, creates a gorgeous “montage” of our hand-drawn map designs. Sold in a custom box, these unique coaster sets will make a stunning gift for family and friends to showcase at the home, office, or cabin. Totally custom. Made on demand.
