This 24” x 18” unframed lithographic art print features an original hand-illustrated map of the San Juan Islands, created in pen and ink with watercolor by Xplorer Maps artist Chris Robitaille.
Located in Washington’s upper Puget Sound, this archipelago of more than 170 islands is known for its rugged shorelines, sheltered coves, evergreen forests, and thriving marine ecosystems. The map highlights the three largest islands — San Juan, Orcas, and Lopez — while capturing the broader coastal landscape that defines the region.
Iconic destinations such as Moran State Park and Lime Kiln Point State Park are woven into the composition, along with scenic harbors and viewpoints that make the islands a premier destination for whale watching, kayaking, and hiking.
The San Juan Islands are the ancestral homeland of the North Straits Coast Salish peoples, and the map reflects the deep cultural history embedded in the landscape.
