Xplorer Maps Partners with VIM & VIGR to Celebrate National Park Week

Happy National Park Week! Each year in April, the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation invite everyone to celebrate this week by getting outside and exploring America’s most treasured places – national parks. In celebration of this week, we’re partnering with VIM & VIGR to encourage our followers to get out and explore the many beautiful places around our country.

For Xplorer Maps, this is a special week. With stunning landscapes, incredible wildlife, and rich cultural history, national parks are national treasures, and we are honored to create hand-drawn maps of these amazing places.

During this week, we decided to partner with VIM & VIGR, a company you may have seen in national headlines recently for their stylish compression socks designed for everyday wellness. With both Xplorer Maps and VIM & VIGR located in Missoula, Montana, not far from two spectacular national parks, Glacier and Yellowstone, partnering seemed a natural.

While we had been hearing a lot about VIM & VIGR’s compression socks in the national media – Forbes, Good Morning America, The View – we had never tried wearing them. With brightly colored stripes and polka-dot patterns, VIM & VIGR’s socks seem to be lifesavers for people like nurses who do a lot of standing and also work well for hikers and travelers. We even heard that Seth Bodnar, the new University of Montana president, wears them under his business suits.

Because our marketing director, Shannon Furniss, was curious about VIM & VIGR’s socks, she decided to give them a try and headed for a hike up nearby Mount Sentinel.

Read about Shannon’s hike to the "M" in her white and gray polka-dot socks in VIM & VIGR’s blog here.

Go out this week and take a hike in a national park. You might want to pick up a pair of VIM & VIGR compression socks for your hike, and make sure to stop by the visitor center afterward to grab one of our hand-drawn national park maps!
